Everything you need to know about using PeraNest — from getting started to managing your group finances.

🚀 Getting Started

PeraNest is a community microfinance platform built for Filipino savings groups (paluwagan). It replaces spreadsheets and manual tracking with an automated system for managing contributions, loans, and interest distributions.

Think of it as your group's financial operating system — everything in one app, accessible to both admins and members.
  1. Open the PeraNest app or visit the website.
  2. Tap "Get Started" on the welcome screen.
  3. Fill in your name, email, and create a password.
  4. Tap "Sign Up" to create your account.
  5. You're in! You can now join a group or explore the app.
You can also sign up using your phone number by switching to the "Phone" tab on the login screen.

Your group admin will send you an invite link. Here's how to use it:

  1. Go to your Home screen.
  2. Tap the "Invite Link" button under Services.
  3. Paste the invite link your admin shared with you.
  4. Tap "Join Group".
You need an invite link from your group admin. Groups are private and cannot be searched publicly.

Your Home dashboard shows a card carousel for each group you belong to. Each card displays:

  • Total Asset — your accumulated contribution (CBU) in that group.
  • Loan Amount — any outstanding loan balance.
  • Group Name — which savings group the card belongs to.

Swipe left or right to switch between your groups.

💰 Paying Contributions

  1. From the Home screen, tap "Pay Contribution".
  2. Select your group from the list.
  3. Upload your proof of payment — take a screenshot of your GCash, Maya, or bank transfer confirmation.
  4. Fill in the payment details:
    • Reference number
    • Account name (sender)
    • Amount paid
  5. Tap "Submit Payment".
  6. Your payment will be reviewed by the admin. You'll be notified once confirmed.
Make sure the screenshot clearly shows the reference number, amount, and date. This helps your admin verify faster.

Each group's admin sets which payment methods are accepted. Common methods include:

  • GCash
  • Maya (PayMaya)
  • BDO
  • BPI
  • UnionBank
  • MetroBank

You'll see the available payment methods listed when you select your group.

After you submit your payment proof, the group admin manually reviews and confirms it. This typically takes a few hours to 1 business day, depending on your admin.

You'll receive a notification once your contribution is confirmed.

If your payment hasn't been confirmed after 2 days, reach out to your group admin directly through the Channels tab.

📄 Loans

  1. From the Home screen, tap "Request Loan".
  2. Choose "I'm a Member".
  3. Select your group from the list.
  4. Fill in the loan form:
    • Loan amount (in ₱)
    • Disbursement method — choose Bank or E-wallet
    • For Bank: select your bank, enter account number and account name
    • For E-wallet: select GCash/Maya, enter mobile number and account name
  5. Tap "Submit Application".
  6. Your request will be reviewed by the admin.
The admin decides all loan amounts. Your loan limit may depend on your credit score and CBU balance.

If you're not a member of a group, you can still request a loan if you have a co-maker (a group member who vouches for you).

  1. From the Home screen, tap "Request Loan".
  2. Choose "I have a Co-maker".
  3. Enter the Group Code (format: PN-GRP-XXXXXX) — your co-maker or group admin will provide this.
  4. Tap "Verify Code".
  5. Fill in the loan form plus Co-maker Details:
    • Co-maker's full name
    • Co-maker's mobile number
  6. Submit your application.
Ask your co-maker for the group code. They can find it in the group details section of their app.
  1. From the Home screen, tap "Pay Loan".
  2. Choose "I'm a Member".
  3. Select your group from the list.
  4. Upload your proof of payment (screenshot of GCash/bank transfer).
  5. Fill in payment details: reference number, account name, and amount.
  6. Tap "Submit Payment".

The process is similar to paying a contribution — upload proof, fill details, and wait for admin confirmation.

If you're not a member but need to pay a loan (e.g., your co-maker shared the payment info), you can use a Loan Code.

  1. From the Home screen, tap "Pay Loan".
  2. Choose "I have a Loan Code".
  3. Enter the code (format: PN-LOAN-XXXXXX) — your co-maker or admin will provide this.
  4. Tap "Verify Code".
  5. Upload proof and fill in payment details as usual.
  6. Submit and wait for admin confirmation.
The loan code is found in the loan details section. Ask your co-maker to share it with you.

💬 Channels & Messaging

  1. Tap the "Channels" tab in the bottom navigation.
  2. You'll see all your group chats listed.
  3. Tap on a group to open the conversation.
  4. Type your message and send.

You can also use the search bar at the top to quickly find a specific group.

Yes! Direct messages (DMs) are available alongside group channels. Look for individual member names in your Channels list.

DM functionality is being expanded in future updates. Currently, you can message anyone who is in the same group as you.

👤 My Account

Tap the "Profile" tab in the bottom navigation. You'll see:

  • Your name and email
  • Quick links to Invite Friends, Help Center, Settings, and more
  1. Go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll down and tap the "Logout" button.
  3. You'll be taken back to the Welcome screen.

Your PeraNest Credit Score is built from your activity within the platform:

  • On-time contributions — paying before the deadline builds your score.
  • Loan repayment history — paying back loans on time improves it.
  • Tenure — how long you've been an active member.
  • Consistency — maintaining a streak of on-time payments.
Your credit score is informational — it helps admins make loan decisions but doesn't automatically limit or approve loan amounts.
Credit score features are coming soon. The profile will display your level and score once available.

🔧 Troubleshooting

If you're entering the wrong credentials, you should see an error message on the login screen. If you're being redirected to the Welcome screen instead:

  • Make sure you're on the latest version of the app.
  • Try closing and reopening the app.
  • Double-check your email/phone and password.

All payments require manual admin confirmation. If it's been more than 2 days:

  1. Message your group admin through the Channels tab.
  2. Share the reference number and screenshot again.
  3. Ask them to check the pending payments in their admin dashboard.

Groups only appear after you've joined them via an invite link. If you can't see your group:

  • Make sure you've used the correct invite link.
  • Ask your admin to resend the invite link.
  • Check that you're logged into the correct account.
